Bodies of Work/Agents of
Change:Interdisciplinary Interventions in the Study of Women, Gender,
and Sexuality, Rice University, April 19, 2008
Rice University’s Center
for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality is seeking submissions for
its inaugural graduate symposium. The study of women, gender, and
sexuality has influenced surrounding disciplines with interventions in
methodology, perspective, and assumptions.
As scholars in the field, we create interdisciplinary bodies of work
that often explore the possibilities for the agency of gendered and
sexualized bodies. The
symposium invites papers that offer ways of thinking about the dual
problems of the body and agency from the vantage point of these
cross-disciplinary convergences.
Deadline for Abstracts: 3/11/2008
